January ‘23 in Review

For me, January always feels like the longest month of the year. This year was no different. I didn’t mind it though. We enjoyed lots of cozy rainy days at home. I’m so thankful to live in a place where it doesn’t snow.

I started making sourdough which is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. My first attempt turned out like a brick, not sure what the issue was there, but I tried a new recipe and it was so much better.

I read seven books this month which is unusual for me. I feel like I’ve come out of a very long reading slump and I’m excited about reading again. Also, I joined a (virtual) book club which starts in February so that’s exciting!

In other news, I started planning for my son’s first birthday party which is so bittersweet. It’s crazy to think that this time last year I was still pregnant and now I have a soon-to-be toddler.

We spent time with friends, went on coffee dates, and Judah started walking! Overall it was a good month filled with happy memories. I’m excited to see what February has in store.
