Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup water

  • juice and zest from 1 orange

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 12 oz. washed cranberries

  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon or 2 cinnamon sticks

  • a *bloop* of vanilla bean paste (optional)

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a small pot and bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally. Simmer for 15 minutes or until all the berries have burst. Allow to cool and transfer to an airtight container. The sauce will thicken as it cools. Best served a few hours later (this allows time for the flavors to meld).
